Our client is seeking a PHP website developer who can assist their team in the development and management of their client’s websites. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on professional with expert knowledge of LAMP, current web technologies, and web standards. The web developer’s goal is to build new web applications, uphold high website quality, build new functionality and ensure that websites stay at the forefront of the latest standards

Duties:

• Back and Front End Development
• Client liaison, content updates, front-end development and project management
• Manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks with respect for deadlines
• Building websites, innovative features, functionality and pages
• Uphold brand identity and evolve typography, photography and colour as necessary
• Ensure sites are optimised – and cross-platform and cross-browser compatible
• Provide expert knowledge of web technology to develop visually aesthetic and user-friendly pages in line with current web standards for desktop and mobile platforms

Requirements:

• BSc, BCom or relevant IT-related national qualification with at least 8 years web development experience
• Driver’s license
• Excellent working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and Bootstrap
• Knowledge of responsive grid layouts, media liaison, responsive workflow and mobile-first approach
• Fundamental knowledge of web content management, website standards and content layout principles
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Professional
