We are looking for a Maintenance Specialist to join our client’s Properties Department. The role will be based at their offices in Germiston and will report to the Finance Manager.

Job Purpose:

The Property Specialist is responsible for setting up a property management team and providing in-depth training to junior staff members. Your expertise in property management and knowledge of South African laws related to property will be crucial in ensuring the successful establishment of processes, document management, and maintenance plans.

Job Objectives:

  • Establish and lead property management processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop training programs for junior staff on best practices and South African laws.
  • Collaborate on process documentation for streamlined operations.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with safety, ASIB, rental, and building standards.
  • Mentor team members for professional growth and independence.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years in property management, with experience setting up teams and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SA property laws, safety, ASIB, rental, and building standards.
  • Proven leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and deadline-driven.
