Our client is looking to hire a WordPress developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins, as well as site integration and security updates.

To be a successful WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Responsibilities:

• Meeting with management to discuss website design and function.
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Creating the website architecture.
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues.
• Conducting WordPress training with the client.
• Monitoring the performance of the live website.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams, UX/UI designers, and third-party suppliers.
• Ensuring timely and budget-friendly project completion.
• Performing regular backups and implementing security measures.
• Monitoring and resolving security threats.
• Customizing plugins for Magento, WooCommerce, and Shopify.
• Optimizing website performance and implementing SEO best practices.
• Mentoring and coaching junior developers.
• Staying updated with emerging web development technologies and best practices.
• Managing relationships with third-party suppliers and maintaining the Cloudflare environment.
• Building out the business unit and offering within the business with the support of the MD and Exco team.

Requirements:

• At least 5 to 10 years of experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
• Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
• Experience with PHP, Python, Django, Bootstrap, WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify, SEO.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Ability to manage projects.
