Our client is seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Cashier to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and accurately while providing exceptional service. As a Cashier, you will be the face of the store, ensuring that customers leave with a positive impression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, including processing sales, returns, and exchanges.
• Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with any inquiries they may have regarding products or store policies.
• Sales Support: Promote and upsell additional products or services at the point of sale to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue.
• Receipt Management: Provide customers with receipts, process gift cards, and handle coupons or discounts in accordance with store policies.
• Cash Handling: Maintain an accurate cash drawer, perform regular cash counts, and ensure secure handling of all payments.
• Store Maintenance: Assist in keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies such as bags, receipt paper, and pens.
• Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues to a supervisor if necessary.
• Compliance: Follow all store procedures and policies, including handling returns, exchanges, and transactions with care.

Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills, with familiarity in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SA ID/Passport or valid work permit.
