Our client is looking for a qualified Electrician with expertise in solar installations to join their team. The successful candidate will handle the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and other electrical components while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and batteries.
• Conduct site inspections to determine the optimal placement of solar panels and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems related to solar installations.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and industry standards.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Provide end-users with guidance on system operation and maintenance.
• Document and report on installations and system performance.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical work, with hands-on exposure to solar PV installations.
• South African Trade Test Certificate as an Electrician.
• Familiarity with solar PV systems, including grid-tied and off-grid setups.
• Must be able to work within strict timelines.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle – Non-Negotiable.
• Traceable references.
• Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to travel throughout Gauteng as required.
• Positive work ethic, disciplined, and well-organized.
• Must be healthy, neat, and presentable.
