The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating with other departments, and continuously improving production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:

Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of production workers, including setting daily tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.

Production Oversight:

Ensure that production schedules are met by monitoring progress and adjusting resources as needed.
Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment, ensuring it operates safely and efficiently.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all team members comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any potential hazards.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Implement and monitor process improvements, working closely with other departments such as Quality Control and Maintenance.
Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and quality control.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.
Participate in production meetings, providing insights and updates on production status and challenges.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Relevant certifications in production management or lean manufacturing are a plus.
Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards.
