The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize process efficiency and productivity. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. The Supply Chain Manager will also be tasked with improving the company’s supply chain performance and seeking new and innovative ways to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain operations, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and distributors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective supply chain operations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management processes, including forecasting, ordering, and stock control, to maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce excess stock.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or service.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental standards in all supply chain operations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to enhance supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, WMS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience in [industry-specific knowledge, e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.].

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers, attend industry events, or visit company sites.
  • The position is primarily office-based but may involve time spent in warehouses or distribution centers.
