The Technical Specialist is a hands-on expert responsible for the technical foundation of ERP solutions. This role ensures the system is robust, secure, and performs optimally. The specialist’s responsibilities span database administration, system configuration, network management, and cloud infrastructure, providing the essential technical backbone for all ERP implementations.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain ERP software on both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Perform advanced database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
- Manage user security and access controls within the ERP system and underlying infrastructure.
- Collaborate with developers to deploy new code and support custom integrations.
- Proactively monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure maximum uptime and system health.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, installation guides, and disaster recovery plans.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in database administration, systems administration, and cloud infrastructure management. Experience with the backend of ERP systems is a must.
- Skills:
- Technical: Deep knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Infrastructure: Expertise in networking, server administration (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms.
- Security: Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in database administration (e.g., MCSA), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator), or specific ERP technical tracks are highly desirable.
