The Report Writer is a data-focused specialist responsible for translating raw ERP data into meaningful and actionable business insights. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, designing custom reports and dashboards, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data. The Report Writer is essential for empowering business leaders with the information they need to make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and analysts to gather and document detailed reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain a library of custom reports, dashboards, and queries using the ERP system’s native reporting tools and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from the ERP database.
• Conduct data validation and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all reports.
• Provide support and training to end-users on how to effectively use reporting tools and interpret the data.
• Work with developers and technical specialists to identify and resolve any data integrity or performance issues related to reporting.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a report writer or data analyst, with specific experience in an ERP environment (e.g., working with Sage X3 or ODOO data).
• Skills:
  • Technical: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with reporting/BI tools.
  • Analytical: Excellent data analysis skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Certifications: Experience with specific ERP reporting tools (e.g., Sage Intelligence) or BI platforms is a significant advantage.
