The Business Analyst is a strategic thinker who bridges the gap between client business needs and technical solutions. This role involves in-depth analysis of existing processes, gathering detailed requirements from stakeholders, and translating them into clear, actionable functional specifications for the project team. The Business Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the implemented ERP solution directly addresses the client’s operational challenges and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and interviews with stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales).
- Conduct thorough analysis of “as-is” and “to-be” business processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement with the new ERP system.
- Document detailed functional and non-functional requirements, creating user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
- Work closely with the project manager to manage requirement changes and assess their impact on the project scope and timeline.
- Support the ERP consultants and developers by providing clarity on business requirements during the design and development phases.
- Assist with the creation of test plans and test scripts for user acceptance testing (UAT), and help validate that the final solution meets all specified requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst, with a proven track record of successful involvement in at least two full-cycle ERP implementation projects.
- Skills:
- Analytical: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Documentation: Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications: A certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is highly recommended.
